Pierced...

Mum's okay with it, Dad's not. I did it for fun.
In your honest opinion, was it a good idea?

That photo you've taken doesn't really do it justice... I've seen it in person though and I think it looks good! Suits you =)

Don't dig guys and piercings, just one person's opinion.

I lost the mat sign off because I was posting in this forum where I got banned. I went under a new user name so I had to lose the habit!!

Big Bro, u asked for honest opinions, so here's mine: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! honestly, i don't like it... and my reasons are as follows:
(1)Deut 15:12-18 12 "If a fellow Hebrew, a man or a woman, sells himself to you and serves you six years, in the seventh year you must let him go free. 13 And when you release him, do not send him away empty-handed. 14 Supply him liberally from your flock, your threshing floor and your winepress. Give to him as the LORD your God has blessed you. 15 Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and the LORD your God redeemed you. That is why I give you this command today.
16 But if your servant says to you, "I do not want to leave you," because he loves you and your family and is well off with you, 17 then take an awl and push it through his ear lobe into the door, and he will become your servant for life. Do the same for your maidservant.
18 Do not consider it a hardship to set your servant free, because his service to you these six years has been worth twice as much as that of a hired hand. And the LORD your God will bless you in everything you do."

--> servants who had their ears pierced (with an awl) were usually those who decided they loved serving their human masters more than they loved serving freely under God (which to me is like rejecting God n rebelling against his will for them to be free to serve God only... i also thnk it makes ppl look more rebellious n gangster-like than they actually are).

(2)the part of the ear that is usually pierced is the earlobe. Most ppl don't know this next bit of info (i just had this revealed to me earlier today after reading the post), but if u read Leviticus 8 (esp verses 22-24) and then 14:1-32, u'll notice that one thing common to both these sections of scripture is the part where in 14:14,27 stuff is put on the earlobes. First the blood of the lamb and then oil, which is also placed on the right thumb and right big toe.
The significance? well, I believe that there is some truth in the "body map" pressurepoint-type thing used in acupressure, acupuncture etc. According to such "maps" of the ear, hands and feet, the earlobe has points related to the heart, eyes, tongue &tonsils; the thumb and big toe points are related to the brain and pituitary gland...
Do u see? In Lev, when God got the priests to place the blood of the lamb in those places, He was cleansing their hearts, eyes, tongues, tonsils, brain (mind) and pituitary gland (where hormones controlling GROWTH are produced)-- all the main organs at the same time...(and then anointed them with oil)...
Isn't God amazing? :D
hmm that's gone off topic but I hope u get what I mean... email me if I don't make sense...

Shalom n blessings 2 u,
from Joanna (keepindapath)
